I am an artist by trade, born and raised in the foothills of Perth Western Australia. I am currently working as a teacher of visual arts and enjoy producing commissioned works as time permits. My passion for art was discovered at an early age and fostered by my mother, an exceptional painter and illustrator. Originally intending to keep art as a hobby I pursued other careers before returning to my passion. Since then I have found joy both in art and in sharing my artistic knowledge. I take inspiration from nature and philosophy which can often be seen in my use of colour and texture. Stylistically melding realist and modern expressionist styles. I work with many different styles as a teacher and received several awards for acrylic paintings, most recently as a ‘Lester Prize’ semi-finalist in 2020. I currently reside in Perth Western Australia with my wife and four children.
